Main Purpose:
The Production Technician is responsible for producing high-quality 3D printed parts in accordance with
client and company specifications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. This role plays a
critical part in day-to-day shop operations, including equipment setup, monitoring of print jobs, post
processing, and quality checks. The Production Technician supports workflow efficiency, maintains
organized workspaces, and helps troubleshoot basic issues to minimize downtime. By collaborating with
team members and adhering to safety and quality standards, this position contributes to the overall
productivity, reliability, and success of the 3D print shop.
Key Responsibilities:
• Under minimal supervision, performs varied duties and assignments as it relates to
production NW Rapid Manufacturing.
• Read and interpret work orders, CAD drawings, and part specifications.
• Use had tools for drilling, reaming, sanding, and cutting.
• Follow technical steps for painting preparation processes.
• Use measuring equipment and accurately record findings.
• Handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• Work under pressure to ensure customer deadlines and deliveries are met.
• Work independently while also supporting overall shop needs.
• Maintain flexibility in a small business environment.
• Conduct oneself in accordance with Company Core Values.
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Skills, Experience, and Aptitude:
The ideal employee has at least 2 years of experience using small hand tools and following technical
instructions such as work orders, CAD drawings, and part specifications. Strong attention to detail is
required for accurate measurements and recordkeeping. Employees should have clear written
communication skills, including legible handwriting and proficiency in English. This role requires the
ability to work on your feet for extended periods, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines under
pressure. A successful employee will be self-motivated, flexible, team-oriented, and able to work both
independently and collaboratively while supporting company values.
Essential Functions of the Job:
• Safely lift and carry heavy objects with the help of another person if necessary.
• Ability to work well independently and following strict adherence to deadlines.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout the day alternating sitting and
standing as necessary.
• Perform repetitive movement such as pushing, pulling, bending, some twisting and stooping.
• Perform fine hand manipulation including handling small and large objects.
• Ability to communicate clearly and be positive, polite, and cooperative with co-workers,
managers, customers and vendors.
• Must be able to visually inspect assemblies to ensure accuracy.
