Aerospace Mechanical Test Engineer -Contract
Location: Loveland, OH
Compensation: $35-$50/HR
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical or hardware system testing
- Experience with instrumented test setups, including lab, rig, or test stand environments
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems and sensor integration
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and test systems
- Effective communication and technical documentation skills in a collaborative environment
Responsibilities:
- Partner with design engineering to define test objectives, requirements, and success criteria
- Design, build, and commission mechanical test rigs for turbomachinery and propulsion subsystems
- Develop and implement instrumentation plans, including installation of sensors and measurement devices
- Configure and operate data acquisition systems to capture high-quality test data
- Execute test programs, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and data analysis
- Lead test readiness reviews and contribute to design reviews with test planning input
- Document test results and communicate findings to cross-functional engineering teams
