Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Woodworker to join our team. This role provides hands-on training in woodworking techniques, furniture building, and cabinet making. Ideal candidates will have a passion for craftsmanship, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled woodworkers in the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of wood products
- Measure, cut, sand, and shape wood materials according to project specifications
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic woodworking machinery safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for materials and tools
- Participate in team projects, learning trade skills under supervision
- Help with material selection, inventory, and preparation for projects
Qualifications
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided
- Basic understanding of woodworking or carpentry is a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Familiarity with woodworking techniques, finishes, or joinery
- Basic math and measuring skills
