Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator! This role is responsible for driving and operating a heavy roller machine to compact freshly laid asphalt, ensuring proper density, smoothness, and durability of finished surfaces. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in asphalt rolling, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently!

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy roller machinery to compact asphalt and achieve proper density and finish.
• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Coordinate with paving crews to meet project goals, quality standards, and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding quality, progress, and any issues.
• Maintain safety protocols while working in outdoor environments and around heavy equipment

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation, expert knowledge of asphalt rolling techniques, ability to remove lines and achieve a smooth mat finish.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience operating asphalt rollers or similar heavy equipment.
• Reliable, dependable, positive team player with strong communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, enter and exit heavy equipment without assistance, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions for full shifts.
• Experience with a Cat 3-ton roller, Hamm 3-ton roller, compactors, and shovels.
