Assembler/Fabricator

Located in Ashland, MA

Our client, a manufacturer of hydraulic components, is seeking an experienced and mechanically inclined Assembler/Fabricator to join their team in Ashland.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling hydraulic power units, testing components, and ensuring all products meet quality standards. This role requires hands-on work with tools, drawings, and hydraulic systems.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

• Assemble hydraulic power units according to specifications
• Operate hand and power tools, testing fixtures, and measuring devices
• Visually inspect products to ensure they meet customer and company standards
• Functionally test completed power units for performance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
• Support additional tasks as needed, including:
  
  
  • Developing assembly or test instructions
  • Painting or packaging products
  • Confirming inventory and stocking parts

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and technical instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with metal fabrication, MIG/TIG welding, hydraulic pipe-fitting, or tube bending is a plus
• Basic understanding of fluid power systems is beneficial
• High school diploma or GED required
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
