Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to support daily kitchen operations and ensure high-quality meals are prepared and served efficiently. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, season, and portion food according to recipes and established standards.
• Prepare ingredients, including washing, cutting, measuring, and organizing food items.
• Assist with meal preparation, plating, and timely food service.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils as needed.
• Stock and organize food, supplies, and kitchen inventory.
• Properly store and label food items and monitor freshness.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and putting away supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen throughout the shift.
• Dispose of trash and maintain overall kitchen cleanliness.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and assist with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain one, if required.
