The CSR will serve as a key point of contact for customers, handling orders from inquiry through fulfillment while supporting sales and logistics teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and manage customer orders efficiently using NetSuite (Oracle) in a high-volume environment
- Provide professional customer support via phone, email, and in person
- Deliver expert-level product knowledge related to flooring materials and building products
- Review purchase orders, verify availability, activate orders, and send confirmations
- Assist customers with pricing, product availability, substitutions, and alternatives
- Partner closely with assigned sales representatives to support customer accounts
- Prepare quotes for bulk and custom flooring orders
- Coordinate with internal teams on shipping, returns, and order status issues
- Accurately collect, record, and reconcile customer payments
- Perform daily closing duties including:
- Closing credit card systems
- Counting and balancing cash
- Running and reviewing NetSuite reports
- Verifying totals and submitting end-of-day documentation
- Open new customer accounts with management approval
- Maintain accurate customer records, order history, and documentation
- Identify upsell opportunities and recommend complementary flooring products
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVES)
- 2-5 years of experience in the flooring industry (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on NetSuite (Oracle) experience (REQUIRED)
- 5-10 years of customer service experience, preferably in flooring, construction, or building materials
- Experience with order processing, invoicing, and logistics coordination
- Bilingual - English/Spanish (REQUIRED)
- High school diploma or equivalent
