Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Process vendor invoices and ensure payments are completed accurately and within established payment terms.
- Apply customer payments and maintain accurate customer account records.
- Prepare and process daily deposits.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end accounting activities and financial reporting.
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, and payment processing.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure customer payments are applied correctly.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and account issues.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers regarding payment inquiries.
Inventory & Transaction Processing
- Receive inventory into the point-of-sale system and verify accuracy.
- Review daily sales transactions and ensure proper financial recording.
- Assist with inventory tracking, purchase orders, and receiving processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory and financial records.
Administrative Support
- Organize and maintain financial records and documentation in an audit-ready format.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with general office operations.
- Collaborate with management and corporate teams on accounting procedures and reporting.
- Support additional administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience.
- Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable required.
- Strong bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial recordkeeping skills.
- Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with inventory management, purchase orders, receiving, or point-of-sale systems highly preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
