- Perform cash sheet reconciliation (balancing a checkbook)
- Process payroll (timecard and commission-only; third-party vendor handles remaining payroll functions)
- Post general ledger activities, including bank and payroll entries
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry across all financial records
- Maintain organized, audit-ready financial documentation
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency with computerized bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Odoo, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong computer systems proficiency
- Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Outgoing, confident personality with strong communication skills
- Comfortable proactively asking questions and flagging discrepancies
