A local company in Mazon, IL is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Support professional. This role blends hands-on bookkeeping responsibilities with general office tasks. You'll play a key role in keeping financials organized while supporting day-to-day office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Assist with payroll, banking, and general journal entries
- Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks and Excel
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including distribution
- Answer phones and assist with general office communication
- Scan, file, and support various administrative projects
- Assist with basic website updates
- Occasionally step into the shop environment as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience with bookkeeping (AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, taxes)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Valid Driver's License required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
