A multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm serving public and private clients is seeking a Bridge / Structural Engineer. The firm provides planning, design, and engineering services for transportation, infrastructure, and site development projects.

About the Role

This opportunity is ideal for an engineer with strong technical fundamentals who can work independently, take ownership of assignments, and communicate confidently with clients. You will contribute to bridge and structural engineering projects while coordinating with colleagues across engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analysis and design for bridges and related transportation structures.
  • Prepare and review calculations, plans, technical reports, and project documentation.
  • Manage assigned work with minimal oversight, maintaining quality and meeting project deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify requirements, provide updates, and address technical questions.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Apply relevant engineering codes, standards, and project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of relevant bridge or structural engineering experience preferred. Candidates with fewer years and demonstrated technical independence will also be considered.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Strong foundation in structural analysis and design.
  • Ability to carry assignments forward independently and exercise sound engineering judgment.
  • Experience working directly with clients.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
