Express is partnering with a local municipality to hire a Building Inspector / Code Enforcement Officer. If you have 2+ years of construction experience, understand building practices, and enjoy problem-solving and working with the public, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Review and issue building permits
• Inspect residential and commercial construction projects
• Answer questions from contractors and property owners
• Enforce building and property maintenance codes
• Conduct code enforcement inspections and follow up on violations
• Assist with floodplain management and community improvement programs
• Work with local, state, and federal agencies
• Attend trainings to earn and maintain certifications

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of construction experience REQUIRED
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and building practices
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Willingness to obtain required certifications and attend training

Pay & Benefits:

• $24-$29/hour, depending on experience and licenses
