Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Carpenter for a long‑term construction project in the Flathead Valley.

Position: Carpenter

Pay: $28/hr
Schedule: Day Shift
Duration: 8-12 months
Location: Flathead Valley

What You'll Do

• Assist carpenters with framing, siding, doors, windows, cabinets, and finish work
• Install wood/steel doors, frames, windows, glass, cabinets, and countertops
• Perform general construction support including material handling, assembly, and cleanup
• Help with site prep: excavation, landscaping, snow removal, spreading materials
• Maintain clean, safe job sites and surrounding public areas
• Assist with scaffolding setup and dismantling
• Work with a variety of materials including wood, metal, and stone
• Support additional construction tasks as needed

What You Bring

• Basic to intermediate carpentry skills
• Ability to read measurements and use hand/power tools confidently
• General labor and material‑handling experience
• Understanding of construction methods and safety practices
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing tasks

Experience

• 5+ years of construction experience or journeyperson status
• Experience with framing, finish carpentry, or installations preferred
• Commercial construction experience is a plus
• Equipment operation experience is a bonus

Qualities

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Adaptable and willing to learn
• Good communication skills
• Safety‑conscious and detail‑focused

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Trade certification or apprenticeship helpful but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/move 30+ lbs regularly
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
• Ability to work at heights (ladders, scaffolding, roofs)
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and dexterity
