Responsibilities
- Perform initial carpentry work, including adhering/installing bullnose counters (estimated to take approximately one day).
- Serve as on-site supervisor for subcontractors (HVAC and Electrical) for several days following the carpentry work.
- Oversee daily progress, ensuring work is proceeding as scheduled and in a professional manner.
- Take daily notes and photos documenting completed work.
- Submit daily progress updates (notes and photos) to the project team at the end of each day.
- Be available to answer basic questions from subcontractors and coordinate as needed.
- Optional: Assist subcontractors if desired (not required; subs will have their own assistants).
Qualifications
- Experience as a carpenter, preferably with finish work such as counters or trim.
- Prior experience supervising subcontractors or managing job sites is strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of HVAC and electrical trades (no hands-on work required).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to document work clearly using photos and written notes.
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently on-site.
- Comfortable working in a government facility environment.
Physical Requirements
- Light to moderate physical activity during initial carpentry work.
- Minimal physical labor during the supervisory phase of the project.
