Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle with a flatbed trailer.
- Make local deliveries to customers and job sites.
- Properly load, secure, and transport materials according to DOT and company safety requirements.
- Inspect vehicle and trailer before and after each trip.
- Complete required delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Safely secure and handle cargo.
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and other personnel.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle and work environment.
- Perform other driving and delivery duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent CDL-A driving experience required.
- Previous flatbed driving experience preferred.
- Clean and safe driving record.
- Ability to safely secure and transport loads.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage local delivery routes.
Schedule & Compensation
- Local delivery - home every night
- Full-time position
- Overtime available
- Estimated annual earnings: $60,000-$80,000 with overtime
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely enter and exit the truck and trailer.
- Ability to inspect and secure loads.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with flatbed deliveries, including securing cargo.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, reach, and climb as required to safely perform job duties.
