We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our growing team.
Position Overview
This is a full-time local driving position hauling scrap metal throughout the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area. Drivers can expect to work 45-60 hours per week and be home every night.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay: $20-$23 per hour
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
- Steady, year-round work

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift: Approximately 4:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Additional hours as needed
Responsibilities
- Safely transport and haul scrap metal materials
- Perform local pickups and deliveries within the designated service area
- Operate various trailer types, including:
- Dump trailers
- Roll-off trailers
- Flatbeds
- Lowboys
- Landolls
- Vans
- Gondolas
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations
- Operate within the short-haul exemption (no logbooks required)
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License
- Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to safely load, secure, and transport materials
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Experience hauling scrap metal is a plus
