The rail ramp at 5200 Joliet Road in McCook, IL is where every dispatch on this intermodal fleet starts and ends. Most of your work stays within a 65-mile radius of the ramp, with a mix of live load and drop and hook freight across multiple dispatches per shift.

You drive a day cab, and tractors leave and return to the yard daily. Some dispatches run longer, up to 500-600 miles round trip, including regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI.

Lane Details:

  • Multiple dispatches in a typical shift

  • Mix of live load and drop and hook freight

  • Average dispatch within a 65-mile radius of the rail ramp

  • Some dispatches up to 500-600 miles round trip

  • Regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI mean a layover at least once per week

Schedule:

  • Home daily with 2 consecutive days off

  • Typically 10-12 hours per day, 5 days a week

  • Optional 6th day available

Equipment:

  • Day cab tractors

  • You will need your own transportation to and from the yard in McCook, IL

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL

  • 21 years of age or older

  • 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience
