CDL-A Local Walmart Fleet Truck Driver - Evening Start Job Image

Most of your loads roll out of the Shafter Walmart DC between 3pm and 9pm, so your workday starts in the afternoon or evening and ends with you back home. This is a local night-shift role on a dedicated Walmart account, delivering no-touch freight to stores throughout Southern California.

You'll average 2-3 stops per run, then bring a backhaul into the DC. Weekends are part of the schedule, but you typically get 2 consecutive days off each week.

Daily Routes:

  • Dedicated Walmart account based in Shafter, CA
  • All no-touch freight
  • Average 2-3 stops per run
  • Backhaul back into the DC
  • Deliveries to locations throughout Southern California

Schedule:

  • Home daily
  • Majority of loads depart the DC between 1500 and 2100
  • Weekend work expected
  • Typically 2 consecutive days off, such as Mon/Tues, Tues/Wed, Wed/Thurs or Thurs/Fri

Equipment:

  • New, well maintained trucks with automatic transmissions
  • Pulling dry van and reefer trailers
  • Slip seat operation
  • Trucks park at the Shafter Walmart DC: 2701 Driver Road, Shafter, CA

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • 21 years of age or older
  • 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience
  • Transportation to and from the yard as trucks cannot be taken home
  • This lane is not suitable for students, recent grads, or trainees
