This Allentown-based position offers local routes, a home daily schedule, and reliable weekly pay with a set night shift schedule, manual equipment, and guaranteed overtime.
Position Highlights
- Location: Allentown, PA
- Annual Earnings: $75,600+
- Weekly Pay: $1,404/week for 48-hour workweeks

- Set 4 On / 3 Off Night Shift:
- 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM OR 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Days Off: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Consistent 48-hour schedule every week

- Home Daily
- Equipment: Manual transmission tractor-trailer tanker (10-speed)
- Overtime Pay: After 40 hours
- Job Duties: Fueling locomotives only

Responsibilities
- Operate a manual transmission tractor-tanker to fuel trains in railyards.
- Serve as a mobile gas station, providing on-site fueling services to trains.
- Run regular routes between Allentown, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate fuel logs, delivery records, and inventory documentation.
- Communicate effectively with railroad personnel to coordinate fueling of trains.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols during transport and fueling.
- Work safely at all times without incident. You are empowered to STOP work at any time due to unsafe conditions.
- Demonstrate reliability, safety, and professionalism through attendance, communication, and conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager or Site Leader
Qualifications
- CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Manual transmission experience required – no automatic restrictions
- Tractor-trailer driving experience required
- Must pass all background checks required by the company, customer, and government
- Responsible for maintaining all required licenses and certifications
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently
- Moderate computer skills required
Physical Requirements
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb on and off elevated surfaces
- May need to walk long distances on paved or uneven surfaces
- Able to climb in and out of truck cab and up locomotive steps multiple times per shift
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willing to work with liquid non-hazardous materials
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
