They are looking for a dependable CDL A Driver who can deliver products with accuracy, professionalism, and efficiency while representing the company on each route.

Job Description

This position is responsible for completing daily delivery routes to grocery stores and other customers, ensuring product is safely transported, unloaded, and verified at each stop. The CDL Driver A performs pre- and post-trip inspections, communicates with dispatch, and maintains strong customer service on every delivery. The role requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and safe operation of all equipment.

Responsibilities for the Job

• Communicate with dispatch to receive route and product information for daily deliveries.
• Complete visual and hands-on inspection of tractor and trailer, checking oil, water levels, tires, blinkers, leaf springs, horn, headlights, and flashers.
• Load hand truck and pallet jack onto truck and notify dispatch of departure and first stop.
• Drive to customer locations, primarily grocery stores, and back trailer into loading docks.
• Check in with customers, unload pallets using electric pallet jack, and place product in designated areas.
• Down-stack product from pallets when requested.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and warehouse order selectors regarding products.
• Understand product line, pricing, delivery times, and promotional details as needed.
• Obtain customer signature, reload pallet jack and empty pallets, and load returns.
• Complete paperwork and return it to dispatch at end of shift.
• Offload pallets, unhook trailer, and park tractor in designated area.
• Install and remove tire chains when required.
• Ensure all product on the truck is delivered before returning.

Experience Required

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Two years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Experience using electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and lift gates.

Skills Required

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate delivery routes and operate a commercial vehicle safely.
• Ability to work in cold environments such as refrigerated trailers.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage early morning dispatch times.
• Good attitude and professional behavior with customers and team members.

Skills Preferred

• Knowledge of produce distribution or grocery delivery.
• Experience with split days off and variable schedules.
• HSD or GED helpful but not required.

Work Schedule

• Dispatch times vary between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM.
• Schedule is provided at least one week in advance.
• Split days off.
• Drivers may work Saturdays.
