Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Driver with a stick shift designation to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver sheet metal using a 1-ton truck with a gooseneck trailer. This is a crucial role in ensuring our products are delivered safely and on time to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 1-ton truck with a gooseneck trailer for the delivery of sheet metal.
- Load and unload sheet metal materials as required.
- Ensure timely deliveries to various locations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL with stick shift designation.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Experience in handling and delivering sheet metal or similar materials is a plus.
- Ability to operate a 1-ton truck and gooseneck trailer safely.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, typically starting around 5 AM or 6 AM and ending around 1 PM or 3 PM.
- Physical ability to load and unload materials as needed.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay rate of $28-$30, depending on experience.
