CNC Machinist

Located in Waltham, MA

Our client, a family-owned manufacturing company, is looking for a CNC Machinist to join their team in Waltham!

This role focuses on low-volume, high-precision machining, requiring strong skills in programming, setup, and operation of both CNC and manual machines

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Program and operate CNC machines based on component blueprints
• Set up tooling and make edit changes to maintain production quality
• Operate manual lathes, Bridgeport machines, and drill presses
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet quality standards
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
• Ensure a clean and organized machine shop environment

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in CNC machining and manual machining
• Ability to read blueprints and use CNC programming languages
• Proficient with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, comparators)
• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Machinist Certificate preferred
• Comfortable handling raw metal stock and conducting precision measurements
