CNC Machinist

1st shift (4) 10 hour- days

We are seeking a CNC Operator / Production Technician with 1-2 years of experience to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate CNC equipment to drill holes into graphite blocks, perform finishing processes including baking, and dip finished products in a wax seal. This position is hands-on and ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in advanced manufacturing and energy storage production.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to drill precision holes into graphite blocks.
• Perform post-machining processes including baking products according to specifications.
• Dip finished products into wax seals for a protective and finished coating.
• Read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and production instructions.
• Inspect parts for quality using basic measuring tools and ensure products meet standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and assist with routine equipment maintenance.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures on the production floor.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience operating CNC machines or in a production/manufacturing role.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings or production instructions.
• Comfortable working with graphite, heat processes (baking), and wax-based finishes.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on, team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

• Full-time, on-site position.
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, heat, and materials used in production.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed.
