Commercial HVAC Installer

Job Description:

Sierra Air is looking to hire an experienced Commercial Installation Technician. This role will require a knowledgeable professional, who can perform high level installation services of light commercial equipment including, rooftop packaged units, mini-splits, make-up air units, ductwork, etc. The candidate will report to the Service Manager and be responsible for traveling to jobsites to install commercial equipment as described above. This position will require strong mechanical aptitude and requisite experience. Must have a willingness to work hard and continuously learn.

Daily Job Tasks:

• Report to the shop each day (or as directed) to receive job assignments
• Communicate with commercial dispatch before arriving at the job
• Attend all training classes and seminars
• Adhere to proper paperwork procedures
• Take direction regarding scheduling
• Keep management informed at all times of the progress throughout the day
• Report job problems to management as necessary
• Operate electronics in the field for the purpose of dispatch and invoice notes
• Maintain the minimum required stock on truck at all times
• Other tasks as requested by management

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPA Certification
• NATE certified
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• 3 years' commercial HVAC installation experience

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to represent Sierra Air Inc. in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff and the general public
• Work well under pressure
• Ability to handle heat, cold, heights, and other difficult working conditions
• Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Working Conditions:

Work will be performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, in various weather conditions. Lifting up to
60lbs required. Must be able to work in attics, crawl spaces, on rooftops, ladders, and from other heights.
