Express Employment Professionals is seeking multiple Form Setters/Carpenters for a local concrete construction company!

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate ownership of the company's core values.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Comply with all safety standards and maintain awareness of jobsite surroundings.
• Set and align concrete forms to the required pitch, depth, and specifications.
• Inspect concrete forms to ensure proper construction and stability.
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovels, hand and power trowels, screeds, and floats.
• Monitor environmental conditions (wind, heat, cold) and adjust processes to ensure proper concrete curing.
• Produce rough concrete surfaces using a broom finish.
• Form expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedges.
• Clean chipped or uneven concrete areas using wire brushes and visual/tactile inspection.
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure, waterproof, or restore concrete surfaces.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of concrete experience.
• At least one (1) year of general construction experience preferred.
• Ability to tie rebar/steel, build concrete forms, and mix, pour, and finish concrete.
• Proficiency with a variety of hand tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with coworkers and the public.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• May be required to travel out of town for project assignments.
• Irregular hours may be required, including early mornings, weekends, shift work, and possible on-call duties.
• Longer work hours are common during summer months.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, including noisy, wet, cold, hot, dirty, windy, and dusty environments.
