Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with daily menus and dietary guidelines
- Follow standardized recipes and portion control procedures
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with setup and breakdown of meal service areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas
- Support dietary needs of students and faculty as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet service deadlines and meal quality standards
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food service setting
- Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Preferred:
- Experience as a dietary aide or working in institutional food service
- ServSafe or food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
