- Monday - Friday
- Shift: 5:30 AM start
Pay
- Starting at $30.00/hour+
- Pay will be based on experience
Requirements
- Diesel mechanic experience required
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and forklifts
- Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
Equipment & Responsibilities
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining a mixed fleet of trucks and warehouse equipment, including:
- Perform preventive maintenance on a fleet of 10 Mack, Freightliner, and Western Star heavy trucks
- Maintain and service 20 Toyota propane forklifts
- Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and component replacements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Repair and service brakes, tires, and suspension systems
- Remove and replace hydraulic cylinder seals and hydraulic hoses
- Perform 12-volt electrical repairs, including wiring, battery systems, and diagnostics
- Complete light machining work using an in-house lathe
- Perform welding repairs to restore or reinforce equipment components
