Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for a well-established company on the Iron Range. What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Complete inspections and ensure equipment meets DOT and safety standards
- Weld and fabricate components as needed
- Maintain accurate repair records using a computer or laptop
- Monitor shop inventory and assist with parts organization
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safety-focused
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience repairing heavy trucks, trailers, or commercial equipment
- Welding experience required
- Ability to earn or possess DOT Inspector certification and a Class A CDL
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
