Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy construction equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems
- Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
- Repair or replace defective components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulics
- Operate diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with heavy construction equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Valid DOT Medical Card (required)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in diesel technology or related field
- Experience with brands such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, or similar
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
