Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift / Skid Steer Operator for a growing recycling and material processing facility in Spring Valley, IL.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down forklift and skid steer to safely move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks while ensuring accurate material handling and inventory movement.
• Process recycled plastic materials through various stages, including washing, drying, sorting, cleaning, and repackaging.
• Move materials between production areas and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Ensure all products meet quality and cleanliness standards before shipment or storage.
• Follow all safety procedures while operating forklifts, skid steers, and other equipment in an industrial environment.
• Complete routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments and material transfers.
• Assist with organizing and routing materials received from locations throughout the Midwest for final processing in Spring Valley.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient workflow and production goals.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
• Skid steer operating experience preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing or recycling environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
