Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM (Overtime as needed)

 

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a local manufacturer in the Northbrook area to hire an Electromechanical Test Technician (Acceptance Testing & Quality Assurance). This hands-on role is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and validating finished products to ensure they meet quality, performance, and reliability standards before shipment.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined technician with strong electrical troubleshooting skills who enjoys working with complex electromechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Perform testing and final inspection of finished products.

Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and communication-related issues.

Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.

Verify performance of electromechanical systems and components.

Use testing equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Record test results and maintain accurate documentation.

Identify and resolve defects to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.

Support production and engineering teams with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.

 

Qualifications

Experience in testing, product analysis, repair, assembly, or related technical work.

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

 

Preferred:

Experience with gears, sprockets, worm shafts, chains, and related mechanical systems.

Knowledge of DC motors, including brush and stepper motors.

Experience using oscilloscopes and electronic test equipment.
