Key Responsibility:

• Set up, operate, and adjust hydraulic presses to produce parts according to job orders and blueprints.
• Load raw materials, including coils of metal, onto machines using tools like pallet jacks and hydraulic forklifts.
• Inspect finished parts for proper dimensions, quality, and defects using precision tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance, such as checking oil levels, greasing parts, and identifying worn or loose components.
• Adhere strictly to all established safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain accurate logs and production records, as well as data for quality control.

Required skills

• Ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical issues with hydraulic press equipment.
• Focus on accuracy and precision when setting machines and inspecting parts.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, engineered drawings, and job specifications.
• Proficiency in fractions, decimals, and geometry to perform calculations for material usage and machine settings.
• Collaborate effectively with quality control, maintenance teams, and other operators.
• Use of functional computer knowledge for tasks such as processing shop floor orders.
