Key Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality heliarc/TIG welding on steel and stainless-steel components
- Produce welds that meet x‑ray quality requirements for high‑spec projects
- Work with structural steel, soft beams, stainless steel piping, and fabricated assemblies
- Assist with steel fabrication, pipe fabrication, and general shop tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area
- Collaborate with shop personnel and supervisors to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a welder in a fabrication or industrial environment
- Strong heliarc/TIG welding skills with the ability to pass weld tests
- Experience producing x‑ray quality welds
- Ability to work with steel, stainless steel, and piping materials
- Familiarity with structural fabrication practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
