Fiber / Wireless Installer
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Fiber / Wireless Installer for a local client. This is a permanent Eval-hire or direct hire position.
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on technician to help install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber, wireless, and network systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical background who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and working with equipment.
What You'll Do
- Install and maintain fiber and wireless communication equipment
- Install and align antennas, radios, cabling, and other network equipment
- Troubleshoot connectivity, signal, and equipment issues
- Help configure routers, switches, and other network devices
- Assist with fiber installation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Climb communication towers to install and maintain equipment
- Work with customers and team members in the field
- Follow all safety procedures and keep accurate installation records
What We're Looking For
- Basic knowledge of networking, routers, switches, and IP addresses
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and at significant heights
- Able to climb towers up to 500+ feet
- Valid driver's license
- Able to pass a background check
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
- Fiber optic installation, splicing, or testing
- Tower climbing or telecommunications experience
- ISP, WISP, or wireless experience
- Knowledge of RF and wireless technology
- OSHA 10/30, ComTrain, CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications
Physical Requirements
- Climb towers and work at significant heights
- Lift and carry 50-75 lbs.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Pay: $20-28/hr.
