Key Responsibilities
Material Preparation
- Measure, mark, and cut fiberglass fabrics, mats, and composite materials according to production specifications
- Use cutting tools such as rotary cutters, shears, knives, and automated cutting equipment
- Read and interpret production drawings, templates, and work orders
- Organize and stage cut materials for production teams
Quality & Accuracy
- Inspect materials for defects before cutting
- Verify all measurements and cuts to minimize waste
- Label all materials clearly for traceability
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Maintain cutting tools in clean, sharp, and safe condition
- Follow proper storage procedures for rolls and materials
- Report issues and assist with minor troubleshooting
Safety & Compliance
- Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines when handling fiberglass
- Use PPE including gloves, respirators, sleeves, and safety eyewear
- Keep the work area clean and organized to minimize hazards
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read measurements, drawings, and work orders
- Comfortable working with cutting tools and handling materials
- Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand throughout the shift
- Safety-conscious and reliable
- Must use required PPE
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
