Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to perform diagnostics, service, and repairs on construction equipment at customer job sites. Key Responsibilities
- Perform service and repairs on construction equipment at customer job sites
- Troubleshoot and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical, transmission, and related systems
- Operate equipment safely to diagnose mechanical and technical issues
- Provide professional, service-oriented support to customers and supervisors
- Order parts using equipment parts manuals and online systems
- Complete detailed service reports and accurately enter data into computer systems
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and wear required PPE
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Completion of a formal technical training program (preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a service or repair environment
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills in engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and equipment diagnostic software
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and provide your own tools
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and email)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed
- Team-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Military experience encouraged
- Experience working in field service environments
- Familiarity with CAT equipment programs
