Field Service Technician - SPD

Join a team where your technical skills directly impact patient care. This is a hands-on, travel-based role supporting the installation and repair of sterile processing equipment in hospitals and healthcare facilities.

What You'll Do

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair sterile processing equipment (sterilizers, washers, ultrasonics, cart washers, etc..)
• Perform preventive maintenance, component repairs, and system diagnostics
• Collaborate with contractors and hospital staff during installations and service calls
• Provide both onsite and remote technical support
• Travel up to 70% (mix of regional and national; mostly weekdays, occasional Sunday travel)

What We're Looking For

We're not seeking SPD operators - we need technicians who understand how the equipment works and can fix it. Strong candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Sterile Processing / OR Capital Equipment

• Field service work on SPD equipment or OR systems (tables, lights, booms, warmers)

HVAC / Boilers

• Airflow balancing, pressure applications, and commercial controls
• Boiler teardown, cleaning, valve troubleshooting/rebuilding, steam traps

Electrical

• Low/high voltage diagnostics and wiring
• Communication and component troubleshooting
• Strong schematic comprehension

What You'll Bring

• 3-5 years' technical experience in SPD, OR equipment, HVAC, or related systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Flexibility for short-notice travel (about 25% of trips)
