Job Overview:
Are you ready to take the wheel of a dynamic and growing company? We are looking for a Fleet Supervisor who is passionate about logistics and fleet management to join our team.
The Fleet Supervisor is a key member of the operations organization and is responsible for all areas of fleet management. The Fleet Supervisor is the primary driver of fleet performance, improvement efforts, issue resolution, risk mitigation, safety, cost management and on-going continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Fleet Operations: Serves as the primary liaison between field operations, home office, and fleet management company to ensure that vehicle data, programs and policies are in place and accurate. Manage daily operations of our fleet, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
- Implement Strategies: Develop and execute strategies to improve fleet utilization, reduce costs, and enhance service quality. Provide recommendations for long-term fleet performance
- Maintain Compliance and Safety: Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory compliance standards. Monitor and maintain knowledge of industry and market enhancements such as technology, tools and procedures for improved efficiency
- Leadership: Collaborate with business leaders to develop and define best-in-class practices for drivers and vehicles, fostering a culture of safety and excellence
- Vendor Management: Work with fleet management company, vehicle vendors, repair facilities, insurance providers/brokers and others to ensure optimal performance of fleet. Identify potential cost savings through active negotiations.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data to monitor fleet performance and make informed strategic and tactical business decisions
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in business administration or logistics or a related field is preferred. 5+ years of proven experience as a Fleet Supervisor(or similar role) for a national company.
- Core Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and decision-making abilities. Experience developing, analyzing, and presenting metrics for data-driven decision-making
- Software: Proficiency with fleet management and logistics software strongly preferred. Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Vendor Management: Experience working with fleet management companies is strongly preferred. Experience sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing vehicles
- Change Management: Experience driving change management to a national audience in complex organizations
