The ideal candidate will have experience operating forging machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality forged components. The Forging Machine Operator will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the efficiency and success of our forging operations.
Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up and operate forging machines to produce forged components according to specifications.
Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and productivity.
Load and unload materials into the forging machine.
Quality Control:
Perform visual inspections of forged components to ensure they meet quality standards.
Make adjustments to machine settings to achieve desired results.
Identify and address any issues affecting the quality of the forged products.
Tooling and Maintenance:
Select and install appropriate dies, molds, and tooling for forging operations.
Conduct routine maintenance on forging machines to ensure optimal performance.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment.
Follow all company policies and procedures related to forging operations.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production counts, and quality inspections.
Collaboration:
Work closely with team members, including supervisors, quality control, and maintenance personnel, to achieve production goals.
Communicate effectively to address any issues that may arise during the forging process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is a plus.
Proven experience as a Forging Machine Operator.
Familiarity with various forging machines and equipment.
Knowledge of different types of metals and alloys used in forging.
Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
