Position Summary

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Operator to work in a busy industrial/manufacturing environment. The Forklift Operator will safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and organize materials throughout the facility and will assist with general material handling duties as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to move and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, rail cars, and designated storage areas as needed.
- Properly stage and organize materials and products.
- Inspect forklift and equipment before operation and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Safely maneuver equipment in areas with other employees, machinery, and materials.
- Assist with general material handling and warehouse/production duties.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent forklift operating experience required.
- Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or similar environment preferred.
- Experience operating overhead cranes is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate equipment in a busy industrial environment.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform material handling duties throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform other physical tasks as required.
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial environment.
