General Labor Associate - Distribution Center

Express Employment Professionals is looking for dependable General Labor Associates to join a busy distribution center on 1st shift. This is a hands-on position involving shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, material handling, and general warehouse duties.
Job Duties:
- Process customer orders and prepare products for shipment.
- Use barcode scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Receive incoming inventory and verify quantities.
- Move, organize, and stock materials throughout the facility.
- Package shipments using shrink wrap, banding, and proper stacking techniques.
- Operate pallet jacks and powered industrial equipment as needed.
- Assist with shipping paperwork and documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory and follow work instructions.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily productivity and shipping goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or general labor experience is helpful.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift or powered industrial truck experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and lifting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push and pull materials and operate warehouse equipment.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and odors.
