Position: Global Logistics Coordinator / Air Freight

Location: Woodlawn, OH

Compensation: $80-90K

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement international logistics strategies aligned with business goals.
• Plan and coordinate global product deliveries based on customer requirements, including drayage, trans-loading, and warehousing.
• Quote rates and calculate total shipment and storage costs, factoring in weight, volume, and transit mode/distance.
• Communicate directly with transportation providers to meet customer handling and delivery needs.
• Arrange import/export clearances, tariff classifications, and coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers.
• Provide shipment status updates to customers and internal teams, ensuring clear and timely communication.
• Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, CBP, FMC, and other governing agencies.
• Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies; analyze trends and recommend improvements.
• Review and validate transportation invoices; schedule and process accurate payments.
• Manage insurance claim processes when required.
• Support business expansion by planning and overseeing operational distribution strategies and new warehouse setups internationally.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field; or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of international logistics and import/export experience, including VAT recovery and T1 external transit declarations.
• CITLS (Certified International Trade Logistics Specialist) certification highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of global supply chain best practices and regulatory frameworks (CBP, FMC, PGA, etc.).
• Proven experience in order fulfillment, warehouse operations, transportation management, and customer returns.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to travel internationally 5-10 weeks per year to establish and oversee warehouse operations.
