Grinding and Assembling Production
Local metal manufacturing company, that have been a leader in custom sheet metal fabrication since the 1970's, are looking for qualified laborers for their shop. This role includes machine operation, assembly, cutting, bending, and punching sheet metal and various metal parts and include following instructions and diagrams on size and dimension of parts. Training on skilled positions are available while on the job site and might include: Punch Press, Tig/Mig welding, hardware install, Mills, Lathes, Press Brake and robot welder.
Job Description & Requirements:
• Operating machinery and assisting other operators
• Machine set up, tooling, and programming
• Ability to maintain tools and keep a clean and safe work area.
• Sand and Debur products
• Grinding down welds, possibly spot welding
• Ability to work fast paced while remaining detailed
• Comply with and follow company rules, safety standards and quality standards.
• Ability to work with a team and individually
• Packaging, assembling and shipment preparation as needed
• Bending, twisting and lifting to 50lbs at a time
Requirements & Desired Attributes:
• Background working with sheet metal
• Tooling and tool maintenance experience
• Aptitude with mathematics, measuring, and decimals and fractions.
• Familiarity between different metals (Preferred)
• Ability to read and follow directions
• Responsible and reliable
Compensation and Work Schedule:
• $18/hour
• Day Shift
Thursday-Sunday
• Position offers good pay, benefits and matching 401K upon hire after completion of contract
