This Charlotte-based position offers local routes, a home daily schedule, and reliable pay with a set night shift schedule, manual equipment, and guaranteed overtime.
Position Highlights
- Location: Charlotte, NC
- Annual Earnings: $60,200 + for consistent 48-hour workweeks (includes 8 hours of overtime at time and a half)

- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Days Off: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
- Consistent 48-hour schedule every week

Locomotive Fuel & Service Key Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times; empowered to STOP work due to unsafe conditions
- Follow procedures for loading/unloading sand, water, lube oil, and waste
- Safely fuel locomotives on-call using precise procedures
- Respond promptly to customer dispatches (24/7/365 availability)
- Complete accurate fuel and service paperwork within timelines
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle/equipment inspections
- Follow all customer safety rules and regulations
- Report spills/incidents immediately
- Assist with light maintenance and upkeep of vehicles/equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company-provided spaces
- Keep all training, licenses, and certifications current
- Demonstrate reliability, safety, and teamwork
Qualifications
- CDL Class A with Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements or combined X endorsement
- Manual transmission experience – no automatic restrictions
- 1 year of commercial driving experience required
- No prior hazmat hauling experience required
- Must pass road test in manual transmission tractor tanker
- Must pass all background checks required by the company, customer, and government
- Responsible for maintaining all required licenses and certifications
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently
- Moderate computer skills required
Physical Requirements
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb on/off elevated surfaces
- May need to walk long distances on paved or uneven surfaces
- Able to climb in/out of truck cab and up locomotive steps multiple times per shift
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willing to work with liquid non-hazardous materials
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
