Overview: Join a leading manufacturing team as a Hot Press/Lathe Operator. You'll be responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting efficient production operations. This role offers hands-on technical work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate hot press department equipment
- Replace worn or damaged tooling and record tool life
- Verify product quality per in-process procedures
- Monitor factory supplies and tooling; report low levels
- Perform machine maintenance with supervisor approval
- Report unsafe conditions and maintain a clean workspace
- Train new operators as needed
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and calibrations
- Sort nonconforming product when required
- Work overtime when necessary
- Suggest improvements for efficiency, quality, and safety
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Perform duties independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow safety and quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to train and learn new processes
