The Human Resources Administrator is a key partner in supporting the day-to-day HR needs of the team. This role oversees the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding new hires to supporting offboarding—while maintaining accurate records and assisting with payroll, benefits, and workers’ compensation administration. As a go-to resource for employee questions and support, the HR Administrator helps ensure HR processes run smoothly, consistently, and with a strong focus on creating a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Operations
    • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
    • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, policies, and procedures
  • HRIS & Payroll Support
    • Process employee changes and updates in the HRIS system
    • Assist with timecard completion and payroll coordination
    • Generate basic HR reports for leadership
  • Claims & Leave Support
    • Assist with intake and tracking of workers’ compensation and auto insurance claims
    • Provide employees with information regarding leaves of absence and required documentation
  • Benefits & Compliance
    • Support new hire benefits enrollment and open enrollment activities
    • Ensure required workplace postings and compliance materials are maintained
    • Support required safety training and licensing documentation
  • Reporting & Administration
    • Maintain employee personnel files while ensuring confidentiality and compliance
    • Assist with HR reports such as headcount, turnover, new hires, and terminations
    • Support HR audits, initiatives, and special projects

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of HR administrative or HR operations experience
  • Experience working with HRIS or payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel experience preferred)
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus

Work Environment

This job generally operates in a clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled professional office environment with minimal physical hazards or unsafe noise levels. Standard overhead fluorescent or LED lighting is used throughout all shared workspaces. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copy/fax machines, etc. The noise level may vary based on the shared workspace.
