The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining electrical systems and components for production related equipment and building utilities within a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing facility. Compliance to all safety policies, procedures and regulations is a top priority. The ideal person will be team-oriented and prioritize safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The current opening is on 3rd shift, 10:00PM – 6:30AM, Monday – Friday with occasional Saturday overtime as needed. Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections on production equipment as needed and assigned.
  • Assist in updating and developing PM plans.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment as required to repair, adjust, calibrate, replace, modify electrical components and devices.
  • Ensure proper Lockout/Tagout, NFPA70E, and Arc Flash practices are followed at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment.
  • Electrical, electronic, pneumatic & mechanical knowledge, comprehension, and skills.
  • AC/DC control circuits troubleshooting.
  • 120/240 VAC and 440 VAC single and three phase power circuits
  • Ability to troubleshoot VFD’s (PowerFlex)
  • An understanding of ladder logic (RSLogix)
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC’s (Allen-Bradley/CompactLogix)
  • Must be able to comprehend and comply with all OSHA and company safety and electrical regulations including Lockout/Tagout, and Arc Flash protection.
  • Use of hand tools such as multimeters (analog & digital), amp meters, and amp probes
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, prints and electrical schematics.
  • Good communication and basic computer skills.
  • Planning and organizing skills

Physical requirements:

  • Work from ladders, lifts, catwalks above floor level (4-10 feet); occasionally at ceiling height (20+ feet)
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, squatting, & reaching above shoulder level
  • Pushing, pulling, and lifting requirements: 25+ pounds.
  • Good color vision
  • Exposure to high levels of noise (hearing protection required in plant area)
