Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an experienced Industrial Maintenance Manager for a high-speed plastic bottle manufacturing facility.

This position is responsible for maintenance strategy, team performance, preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and plant uptime. You will lead the maintenance department, establish priorities, develop technicians, and partner with production leadership to reduce downtime across blow molding, extrusion, conveying, and supporting equipment.

This is not a desk-only management position. The right candidate will stay connected to the plant floor, understand what is happening during equipment failures, guide the troubleshooting process, and build systems that prevent the same problems from happening again.

What You Will Own

• Lead, develop, and hold the industrial maintenance team accountable
• Establish daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance priorities
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance planning and completion
• Improve equipment reliability across blow molding, extrusion, conveying, and production systems
• Monitor downtime, identify recurring failures, and lead root cause corrective actions
• Coordinate urgent repairs, planned shutdowns, installations, and equipment upgrades
• Partner with production leadership to balance maintenance needs with production schedules
• Ensure maintenance work is properly documented and tracked
• Oversee spare parts, tools, vendors, contractors, and maintenance spending
• Recruit, train, coach, and retain skilled maintenance employees
• Establish clear expectations for safety, workmanship, response time, and follow-through
• Maintain a safe, organized, and accountable maintenance department
• Remain actively involved during major breakdowns and complex troubleshooting situations

What We Are Looking For

• Previous industrial maintenance management experience within a manufacturing environment
• Proven success leading and developing maintenance technicians
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background
• Working knowledge of industrial controls, motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and production equipment
• Experience with plastic manufacturing, blow molding, extrusion, or similar high-speed equipment is strongly preferred
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation
• Ability to analyze downtime, identify root causes, and implement lasting corrective actions
• Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to make sound decisions and lead calmly during urgent equipment failures
• Dependable follow-through and a high level of accountability
• Availability to work first shift
