Key Responsibilities
- Apply base and clear coats to apparatus.
- Sand out imperfections prior to painting.
- Tape, mask, and apply plastic covering to body and cab openings before coating.
- Prepare trucks for the buffing station to streamline workflow.
- Use pressure pots, sanders, and sprayers effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance on paint equipment and oversee the bake booth.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret safety documents and SOPs.
- Ability to apply basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Experience: 3-5 years in Auto Body, Industrial Painting, or Commercial Painting.
- Education: High school diploma/GED required.
- 2 years in the autobody/industrial workforce required; 4 years preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, twist, crouch, kneel, and reach upward and outward.
Equipment Used
Pressure pot, sander, sprayer, hand tools, and power tools.
