Recycling Sorter / Production Laborer
We are hiring dependable and motivated Industrial Sorters to join our team at a local recycling facility. In this role, you will work alongside a team sorting recyclable materials into designated containers. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that plays an important role in keeping recyclable materials out of landfills and supporting environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort recyclable materials from a moving conveyor belt into designated bins.
- Identify and separate materials such as cardboard, paper, plastics, aluminum, and other recyclables.
- Remove non-recyclable or contaminated items from the sorting line.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment around moving equipment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are required.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced team environment.
- Previous warehouse, production, manufacturing, or recycling experience is a plus, but not required.
